Thomas Cadrot tells Merry Liddle Christmas Child and More

In our Q&A series POPSUGAR Crush, we get to know some of our favorite celebs in more intimate details-from their first celebrity crush to the best love advice they’ve ever received. This month, we had a crush Merry Christmas Liddle Baby star Thomas Cadrot.

The holiday season is our favorite time of year, and if you’re a fan of Lifetime movies, you’ll love the latest network. Christmas movie! Merry Christmas Liddle Baby – the third installment of Lifetime’s first -ever holiday movie trilogy – arrives over the Thanksgiving weekend, just in time for everyone’s holiday binge fest.

Inspired by Kelly Rowland’s own Christmas disaster, the film series began back in 2019 on Merry Christmas Liddle, which sparked an inspiring romance between Rowland’s character, Jacquie Liddle, and her husband now in the TV movie, Thomas Cadrot’s Tyler Brooks. The sequel film, Liddle’s Merry Christmas Wedding, was released the following year, which led us to the arrival of the third film. As the premiere nears, Cadrot says he’s excited that it will finally debut, but the feeling of being part of the Lifetime film’s historic trilogy hasn’t hit him yet.

“What I look forward to most is the time spent with this onscreen family.”

“It’s funny because when you say things like that, from the outside it’s so amazing,” he told POPSUGAR. “But from the inside out, we’re just happy to be back every year. To have a reason for everyone to link up and spend 19 to 25 days together shooting a movie we all love, have fun. -fun and laugh, and be with offset. What I look forward to is the time spent with this onscreen family. ” Cadrot’s large, happy onscreen family includes stars such as Bresha Webb (Kiara), Latonya Williams (Treena), Jaime M. Callica (Julian), and Nathan Witte (Chris), just to name a few.

As far as the new film is concerned, Cadrot can’t wait for fans to see some of the new story lines being explored this season. “I think they like the heartfelt lines of the story,” he said. “I think the story lines are very close to taking from real life scenarios – things that couples go through, things that the whole family goes through. I know the story line of Jacquie and Tyler , with a new baby coming, that’s something that’s too much.New parents can relate. In addition, it brings a new addition to a family that already exists because Tyler has children. [as well]. I don’t want to give too much, but they will go through something serious. Then Chris and Kiara continue their love story. And we can’t forget about the kids. Kids can add a lot of sadness and energy to this movie.

There’s no word yet on whether or not the fourth film will happen yet, but if so, Cadrot already has in mind the perfect line of the couple’s retreat. “There are so many couples in this movie right now, you can bring Jacquie and Tyler, Julian and Trina, Kiara and Chris, and Marchelle and Wade.

Merry Christmas Liddle Baby premieres of Life on Nov. 27 at 8 pm ET. Next, check out the rest of Cadrot’s POPSUGAR Crush interview.

What is your favorite holiday movie?

I kept going back to Love Really every year or A Charlie Brown Christmas.

What’s your signature scent or go-to cologne?

Dior Sauvage. Masculine and very overpowering.

What coffee did you order?

Black and strong.

Who was your first celebrity crush?

I think Aaliyah probably one of my first celebrity crushes.

Do you cook If so, what is your favorite thing to do?

it [kind of] something. I don’t want to lie because I don’t want to put myself in place when I ask you to cook, but I can say that I make eggs badly and that’s great. I think when I say I don’t cook, I can’t just go into the kitchen at will and cook something really good, but I can follow a recipe.

What was the last recipe you followed?

A beef, rice, broccoli casserole-type thing with cheese. Very nice. I surprised myself.

What was the best trip you’ve ever had?

A family trip to a ski resort, where we rented a big house so all my nephews could be with us and everyone. It was like a big family retreating into the mountains of France. It was so beautiful.

What is your favorite type of self-care?

The gym. I can’t stress that. I just got out of the gym actually, it’s my place of peace. It usually makes me go for the day and it centers me, strengthens me a lot.

What is your favorite gift you have received?

Sounds cheesy but just time for loved ones. I’m not one of those gifted materials, but if I can spend time with people I appreciate, that’s better than anything.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?

Surprise getaways. Just showed up at my partner’s door and said, “Pack a quick bag and we’re off. And I won’t tell you where we’re going until we’re there.” I can’t cook, so I have to recover it anyway.

What is the best love advice you have ever received?

To listen. Not just hearing the other person, but actually listening and paying attention to everyone [they’re] says. Because most of the time we just miss the things that are said and it comes as a surprise later. But said for now, so just listen. Communication is the key.
