Deion Sanders’ $ 3 Million Defamation Award Against Pilar Sanders Thrown In Appeals Court

Deion Sanders hit by another defeat in his ongoing legal struggle Pilar Sanders.

As you may recall, the former NFL star Deion Sanders–Named by head of football coach at Jackson State University last year – was involved in legal drama with his ex -wife for a while. Following her 2013 divorce from Pilar Sanders, Deion Sanders says he made a series of derogatory statements about his behavior on social media. This allegedly resulted in Deion Sanders‘the reputation was tarnished, causing him to allegedly suffer various financial losses.

Because of this, Deion filed a defamation case against Pilar Sanders back in 2014 – claimed his ex -wife

“published, and continues to publish, statements on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube and other social media accusing Plaintiff of child abuse, Defendant abuse, assault, murder, and other crimes (the ‘False Statements’) .He has also appeared on television, particularly the ‘Bill O’Reilly Show’, making similar allegations of abuse.

The couple continued to fight it out in court for the next few years, with Deion Sanders was initially given a $ 2.2 million judgment against Pilar Sanders– even if it is finally discarded with Deion failed to prove his case.

Now, history seems to be repeating itself! It turned out to be Deion Sanders filed other lawsuit against Pilar Sanders–Received a $ 3 million defamation award in the process. However, a Texas-based appellate court recently overturned the verdict and ruled that Deion his case was no longer substantiated — effectively sided Pilar. In particular, the court ruled that Deion Sanders failed to show up

“How does he know that the losses occurred because of Ms. Sanders’ statements, rather than any other unrelated cause.”

It’s not Deion of Pilar publicly commented on the matter, though – the day the defamation award was thrown (Nov. 19) –the former athlete tweeted:

“I forgive you. #CoachSanders ”
