Coachella reverses the Vaccine Mandate for the 2022 Festival
The famous music festival Coachella recently updated the COVID protocol requirements for attendees. ago Coachella, run by AEG Presents, is run under the instructions that all guests must be fully vaccinated in order to attend. A few months ago AEG Presents released a statement announcing that for all of their activities they will need to prove full vaccination from concerts and event staff.
It was as if now Coachella had a change of heart. On Tuesday (October 13) it was announced on the official Instagram for the music festival that they will also be accepting the recent negative COVID test from attendees. A statement released via Coachella’s IG stories said,
“After seeing firsthand the brief transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our other festivals last month, we are confident that we will be able to update our health policy to allow for: Negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event OR Proof of full vaccination ”
As previously reported, Coachella has postponed its festival for the past two years as a coronavirus precaution. The music festival is set to return in 2022.
Next year, in 2023, singer Frank’s Sea is scheduled to be featured at the festival as headliner. This is not the first time Frank’s Sea hit the stage at Coachella. In 2012 the Grammy-Award-winning artist was part of the lineup for the music festival.
